Lineage.—About the same period (1661) as the settlement of Sandes at Carrigafoyle, John Sandes m. Mary, dau. of Thomas Blennerhassett, Esq. of Litter, and had issue, Thomas; Henry; John, ancestor of Sandes of Moyvane and Greenville; Martha Ellen, m. — Johnson; and Susannah, m. Rev. Thomas Connor. The eldest son,

Thomas Sandes, m. Bridget, dau. of Maurice FitzGerald, the Knight of Kerry, and had issue a dau., Elizabeth; and a son,
